A map of Iran showing the river.

One drawing is not the other

A question like "What is the cost of drawing a map of Europe?" is the same as asking the garage owner what a car costs. The latter will first ask you what options you all need: what engine? Manual or automatic? Electric or gasoline? etc...

It is the same with the drawings we offer. A map of Europe can range from simple (e.g. without rivers and only the capital cities indicated) to super detailed (all city boundaries, hundreds of place names, rivers down to stream level, ...). Maybe some of the data also requires manual work. Maybe we need to look for the right data sources etc... ourselves.

Unless we work in direction, every project starts with detailed estimation of what specifically needs to be done. We will ask you all the questions necessary to come to a clear view of the project. Only then can we propose a price and timing. Ultimately, it is then up to you to decide whether you want to start the project or not.

all-inclusive

Includes 'normal' improvements and unlimited rounds of improvements

Our fixed prices always include "normal" enhancements. Unless you wish otherwise, of course.

Almost every job/map/drawing needs improvements after an initial proof. Based on our years of experience, we make a more or less correct estimate of the volume of work that creeps into these improvement rounds. This estimate is based on the type of work and its complexity and will therefore vary.

We don't put a limit on the number of trial rounds. Whatever it takes to get the work just the way you want it is just necessary.

With a real fixed price, including improvements, you know immediately where you stand. So no surprises.

Oh yes, improvements that are "normal" are almost all improvements. It is extremely rare that we have to make adjustments here. A map of Japan that should suddenly be one of Switzerland is one of those times when we would adjust 😉

Years of experience

After more than 35 years of experience, we are still fresh and eager to get to work on your project.

Once started with CorelDRAW 3.0, we have grown with the market over the years and now use tools such as Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, Procreate, Mapublisher, QGis and so much more.

We are closely monitoring the potential of generative AI and are already using it where it adds value.

Multilingual

Dutch, French, English

We are fluent in Dutch, French and English.

We have already carried out several projects in each of these 3 these languages and delivered professional results.

Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, Mapublisher

We use the same professional tools you use

With us, no hassle with special GIS software that is difficult to edit afterwards without losing that important georeference.

We simply deliver our cards in the latest version of Adobe Illustrator. Our files are fully open, contain several layers and are fully editable in Adobe Illustrator.

We prefer to work with native Adobe Illustrator PDF files. These files can easily be used directly by the prepress team. PDF files can also be easily opened by other contributors such as authors. Last but not least, PDF files allow anyone to add comments so we can quickly work with your feedback.

Of course, we are completely open to your approach. No problem if you prefer a different approach.

Project Management

As a partner in several large projects, we know all too well how complex such a project can be.

For larger projects, we will suggest you go beyond the mailbox for project communication. In the system we use, each drawing is a separate task that can have various statuses, e.g. ready for production, in production, improvements needed, clarification needed, ready for printing, etc... With each task there is room to communicate and ask questions.

Through this project management system, you can log in at any time and immediately be fully on board with the state of the project as a whole.

We propose this system as an option to tackle your project, it is certainly not an obligation. Your preferred method of working ultimately determines how the project will actually proceed.

Scalable

Sufficient bandwidth for your project

If your project requires it, we can discuss what is needed to meet deadlines.

We are open in our communication and make sure you have an accurate expectation by delivery date.

Although we can't do magic and don't finish an atlas in a week, we pride ourselves on always being punctual with agreed upon deadlines and deadlines.
